Cold season is around the corner!

Watch out for sniffles and headaches! We are approaching the season for them.

Naiyya came to teach in our class when Hillary and Katarina were ill. We learned about drawing portraits and made portraits of each other.

We also learned about the moons.

On Friday, we talked about symmetry and different feelings. We made different feelings on paper pumpkins.

Thank you for reading this week!

Week 40 Lucky with the sun!

We got luck that the sun was out when we needed it! In the morning at 8:20, there was very little sunny spots on the playground. When we went out at 10:40 our shadows were straight in front of us!

We traced around a student at 10:40 and 12:40
We looked again at 13:40 and it moved some more.

Cinnamon bun day was on Tuesday! We ate one at the end of the day.

When we were in grade 1, we learned about different religions. This year we will continue to learn about different holidays that happen in different religions and areas of the world. Monday was the Jewish and Muslim new year.

Thank you for reading!

Week 39 Solar System

This week we started out project about the Solar System. We watched Bill Nye, The Science Guy. Here's the link of the episode we saw.

We also continued our work with the time, sometimes it was tricky to tell the time on the half hour in Swedish and English. We also did quarter to and quarter past.

This week we also got our new homework. In the red notebook, we are going to write the first sentence we read. In the orange notebook, we can choose different tasks from a calendar. You can read more about the homework on the Homework page.

Development talk week!

This week we had a lot going on!

Hillary was very busy with our development talks and meeting all the parents. She'll be reading through our documents. When she is done there will be a green circle next to our name on Skolwebb.

We also had the Haga Run in Haga Park.
The track was 1 km or 1000 meters long.
It was tiring and some of thought it was hard.

Some students in 2B ran  in very fast.

The most important it that we never gave up and we all crossed the finish line!

That's all for this week!

Busy busy in 2B!

We've had a busy week!

Development talks are next week and we've been planning for them.

Remember to smile during the day! A smile brightens everyone's day! We also try to follow how to be in the classroom and in the schoolyard. This week we got to role play a situation that could happen on the playground while playing.

We had our class photo taken on Monday.

Everyone had an individual photo taken too.

The photographer's name was Elias.

On Friday, Katarina and Hillary made a new seating arrangement. We talked about why it's important to change our seats. Hillary and Katarina need to get to know us in different places. We also get to learn how to work with different people  and maybe make a new friend.
Gym was fun this week. We played a game where we pushed down the yellow and red cones with our hands.

Thank you for reading!

September has arrived!

Thank you for a very nice parents' meeting this week. You  can find the notes on the page called General Information

We elected class representatives for 2B. Ella and Sigge will represent our class.

This week we were able to have a gym lesson with Hillary in Vanadis. We collected 100 nature things in a group and had time for playing in the park.

On Thursday we had gym with Katarina  and played a game called Run, Jump and Walk.

We love playing a classroom game called 7-UP

We continued to work with long vowel sounds in both Swedish and English and sung a favorite from our younger days.

That's all from us for this week! Thank you for reading about our week.
