Homework for the week may consist of the following:
All homework will be given out on Friday and should be given back on Thursday the following week. If your child is away, they can always go back and do some tasks that they haven't done.
Reading/keeping a reading log: RED notebook!
Students will read 15-20 min at least 3 times per week. After reading students will go back and copy the first sentence of the text that they read. They should concentrate on writing neatly and forming the letters correctly (tall letters, short letters and letters with hooks)
Calendar tasks: ORANGE notebook!
Students have received a calendar with different homework tasks. Have a discussion with your child about a suitable number of weekly tasks that they will do. Don't worry about the days of the week over each task. Just choose 1-5 tasks that are appropriate. Of course, they can expand on the task. For example if it says to just draw a picture then of course they can write as well.
Here is the new homework calendar! Each child received a copy with the week numbers. they should have pasted it in their book if they had their book.
As you can see, I've kept week 44 for those that want to do something during the week we are not in school.
